Who we are
tf2.gg runs this site and is responsible for the data described here. For any privacy question or request, email support@tf2.gg.
What we store
- From Steam when you sign in: your SteamID64, public profile name and avatar, and when your Steam account was created.
- What you give us: your trade URL, crypto addresses and networks, saved filters, price alerts.
- Your orders: items, prices, payout details, trade offer and transaction IDs, and the order history.
- Security data: IP addresses and browser/device type of your sign-ins, used to protect your account and prevent fraud.
- Backpack price checks: the items and prices we offered (kept for 7 days unless they became an order).
- Identity checks: only if we ask you to verify a sale, the documents or details you send us.
- Giveaways: your tickets, your entries and the prizes you won.
- Support: the messages you send us and our replies.
What other people can see
A finished sale can show in Live deals on the homepage with the first two characters of your Steam name, the items and the payout. Giveaway winners are shown the same way. Nothing else about your account is public.
What we never store
- Your Steam password or Steam Guard codes. You sign in on steamcommunity.com, not on our site.
- Card or bank details. We don't take payments from you.
- Advertising or cross-site tracking data.
Why we use it
- To run the service: price your items, send trade offers and pay you (contract).
- To keep accounts and payouts safe and stop fraud, chargebacks and abuse (legitimate interest, legal obligations).
- To keep records we must keep for accounting and anti-money-laundering rules (legal obligation).
How long we keep it
- Sessions: until they expire or you sign out (30 days at most).
- IP address history: 180 days after you last used it.
- Backpack price checks that did not become an order: 7 days.
- Notifications: 180 days. Price alerts: until you remove them (reached alerts are removed after a year).
- Orders and payout records: as long as accounting and anti-fraud laws require.
- Identity check documents: only as long as the check and the law require, then deleted.
Your rights
You can download a copy of your data at any time in account settings, under "Your data". You can also ask us to correct or delete it, or object to some uses. We delete whatever we are not legally required to keep (order records may need to stay). You can sign out other devices at any time in account settings.
To make a request, email support@tf2.gg from the address you want us to reply to and include your SteamID64 or profile link. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Sign-ins are protected with secure, HTTP-only cookies. Admin access requires two-factor authentication and every admin action is logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please also protect your Steam account with Steam Guard.
