1. Agreement
By signing in or placing an order you agree to these terms, our trading rules, the refunds and cancellations policy and the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use tf2.gg.
2. What tf2.gg does
tf2.gg buys Team Fortress 2 items from you at the price we offer and pays you in keys and metal or in crypto (USDT or USDC). We are the buyer, so you are not selling to other players. Crypto payouts are sent through a cryptocurrency exchange.
The Marketplace, where players will sell to each other, is not open yet. It will get its own additional terms before it opens.
tf2.gg is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation. Team Fortress 2 and Steam are trademarks of Valve Corporation.
Your Steam account and items stay under the Steam Subscriber Agreement. We are not responsible for anything Steam does with your account, your items or your trades.
3. Who can use tf2.gg
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You sign in with your own Steam account and only sell items you own.
- Using tf2.gg is legal where you live and you are not barred by sanctions. Checking this is your responsibility.
- One person, one account. Using several accounts to get around limits is not allowed.
- Your Steam profile and inventory are public and your own trade URL is saved on your account.
- Your Steam account has no trade hold. We do not trade with accounts on a trade hold, for keys or for crypto, on the site or through our bots.
4. Your account and security
You sign in through Steam's official login, so we never see your Steam password. You are responsible for your Steam account, your trade URL and the wallet addresses you enter.
Every trade offer for an order on the site includes the security code shown on your order page. Never accept such an offer without the matching code. Trades you start yourself in Steam chat with our bot and giveaway prize offers have no code. Never trust anyone who contacts you first claiming to be tf2.gg staff.
5. Offers and prices
When you open Instant Sell we make an offer for each item in your backpack. Offers are valid for the time shown on screen and can change the next time you load your backpack, because market prices move. Once you confirm an order, its payout is fixed.
Our price list shows what we pay right now. It is not a valuation, an appraisal or financial advice.
If an obvious error affects a price, for example a technical fault, we may cancel the order before payout or correct it with your agreement.
6. Payouts and final sales
A sale is final once you accept our trade offer. Keys and metal arrive in the same trade. Crypto is sent after the items arrive, and you receive the amount shown before you confirm.
Check your trade URL, crypto address and network before you confirm. Crypto sent to the network cannot be reversed, and we are not responsible for payouts sent to an address you entered by mistake.
We only refund or correct an order when a technical error on our side caused the problem. The refunds and cancellations policy explains how.
Any tax on what you receive from a sale is yours to report and pay where you live.
7. Price risk
Prices of TF2 items, keys and crypto change all the time. After your order is confirmed, any later change in what your items, keys or crypto are worth is your risk. USDT and USDC are designed to follow the US dollar, but they are issued by third parties and tf2.gg does not guarantee their value.
8. Identity checks
Most sales need no identity check. For large or unusual sales, or when activity looks suspicious, we may ask you to verify your identity or show where your items came from. We can keep the order on hold until the check is done. We only ask for what is needed and keep it as described in the privacy policy.
9. Prohibited use
You may not use tf2.gg for money laundering, fraud, financing illegal activity or anything else illegal. Stolen, duplicated or fraudulently obtained items, price manipulation, exploiting errors and automated abuse of the site are not allowed either. The full list is in our trading rules.
10. Reversed trades
If Steam later removes items you sold to us, for example after an account recovery or a reversed trade, we may reclaim the payout, cancel your pending orders and restrict your account.
11. Limits, reviews and bans
We may set minimums, maximums and daily limits, pause the service, or refuse, delay or cancel orders to prevent fraud or follow the law.
We may restrict or ban accounts that break these terms or the trading rules. Where the law allows, payouts obtained through abuse may be reclaimed.
12. Giveaways
Giveaways are free. You never have to sell anything to take part, because free tickets are on the giveaways page. Tickets have no cash value and can't be sold, traded or moved to another account.
To take part you must meet these terms and giveaways like this must be legal where you live. You need a public Steam profile, your trade URL saved on your account and no trade hold. Free tickets also need a Steam account as old as the giveaways page says. One person, one account. Extra accounts lose their tickets and their wins.
Winners are drawn at random, the way the giveaways page describes. Prizes are TF2 items sent by trade offer to the trade URL on your account, with no cash alternative. If you don't accept the trade offer within 24 hours of the draw, or we can't send it, that place is drawn again. Our staff can't win. Any tax on a prize is yours to handle.
We may change, pause or cancel a giveaway and remove entries made by abuse. Giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed or run by Valve or Steam.
13. Liability
tf2.gg is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and accurate, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Steam, crypto networks and exchanges can cause delays outside our control.
As far as the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the payout amount of that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and using tf2.gg after a change means you accept it. Orders you already placed follow the terms that applied when you placed them.
15. Contact
