Want Steam funds for games or skins? Here are the two ways to do it, what each one costs and when TF2 keys make more sense.
- TF2 keys or crypto
- Paid right after the trade
- You never send first

Short answer
The short answer
The direct way is the Steam Community Market: list your skin, wait for a buyer and the money lands in your Wallet, minus a fee of about 15%. The flexible way is to sell for TF2 keys first. Keys sell fast on the Market, and you can still choose crypto if you change your mind.
The TF2 key way, step by step
Sell for TF2 keys
Accept one trade. The keys come in the same offer.
Open your Steam inventory
Find your Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys under Team Fortress 2.
List them on the Market
Press Sell on the Community Market, set your price and confirm on your phone.
Funds land in your Wallet
When a buyer takes your listing, Steam adds the money minus its fee.
Direct or through keys
If you only want Steam funds and you are sure about it, the Steam Market is the simple choice. You set the price, and you wait for a buyer.
TF2 keys are for when you want options. They hold their value while you decide, they sell quickly when you do want Steam funds, and you can sell them for crypto on tf2.gg instead.
New Rust skins often lose value in their first weeks. If you want Steam funds from one, selling early usually gets you more.
What Steam asks for
To sell on the Community Market your account needs Steam Guard turned on for a while and must not be limited. New accounts may have to wait. The Market page in Steam shows what is missing.
Steam Wallet money cannot be withdrawn. You can spend it on games and items, but it never becomes cash. If you want real money, sell for crypto instead.
Why TF2 keys
A key is the one item that keeps every door open:
- Steam Wallet funds: list them on the Steam Market and they usually sell fast
- Real money: sell them for crypto on tf2.gg any time, or for PayPal and other payments on trading sites
- Stable price: a key moves by cents, not dollars, so it holds value better than skins
- Easy to sell: every trader knows what a key is worth, so you never wait long for a buyer
- No new wait: keys have no Steam trade protection, so you can sell them the moment you get them
- No network fee: you get exactly the keys you see

Questions
How much does Steam keep?
About 15% of the sale price. The Market shows the exact amount before you confirm a listing.
How fast does the money arrive?
As soon as a buyer takes your listing. Steam adds it to your Wallet right away.
Can I withdraw Steam Wallet money?
No. It stays on Steam. For real money, sell for crypto.
Do you pay Steam Wallet funds?
No. We pay crypto and TF2 keys. Keys are the bridge: sell your skins to us for keys, then sell the keys on the Market.
Is it safe?
You sign in on the official Steam page, so we never see your password. Our bot sends the trade offer with a security code, and nothing leaves your inventory until you accept it in Steam.
